Job opportunity : Curitorial assistant internship

As part of the Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations program, MAC LAU is looking for a student from Aboriginal communities to work with the museum team during the summer.

The student's mandate will be to work with the curitorial team on Effet Manitou project, a project based on the Manitou College that existed in La Macaza between 1973 and 1976 and to which MAC LAU has dedicated exhibition spaces. He or she will have the following mandate;

-Engage with the research and curitorial approach of the Manitou College archives (writing an article, a capsule, or other);

-Guidance in the documentation and recording of testimonies of alumni of the College (recruitment, interviews, filing);

- Producing communications related to the Manitou Effect project:

-hosting various audiences and communities in the exhibition space.

 

Criteria:

-Be a Canadian citizen from an Aboriginal community;

-Be between 16 and 30 years of age at the time of employment;

-Meet the eligibility criteria of the program to which you are applying;

-Be registered in the YCW Online Candidate Bank;

-Commit to work for the entire hiring period:

-and not hold another full-time job during employment with YCW.

 

MAC LAU provides the opportunity for its employees to telecommute according to established institutional standards.

 

Hiring period:

2023-05-29 through 2023-08-18
